Notes, lyrics and chord tools

Your performance notes. A view for every musician.

Bring the material your band is entitled to use into a shared workflow. BandSet is organizational software, not a store selling song lyrics or sheet music. Musicians can enter their own notes, lyrics and chords and use reading tools during rehearsals and performances.

Keep the arrangement with the entry

Record the starting key and short instructions such as a counted intro, a quiet verse or a shared ending. Keep the full performance material in the entry and concise stage cues in the setlist note. Entry-contributor credits identify who entered or edited the record, not the songwriter or copyright owner. Only upload or share content you have permission to use.

Transpose the chords and displayed key together

Use the minus and plus controls above the notes to move by semitones, or reset directly to zero. Chords and the displayed key follow that change. In a setlist, authorized leaders can share the transpose with connected members; member-only reading adjustments remain personal. Check unusual chord notation and the actual arrangement in rehearsal rather than assuming any imported text is correct.

Read comfortably on the device you use on stage

Adjust text size and alignment, choose light or dark mode and enable automatic scrolling if useful. The scroll-button preference can be turned off when it is not needed. Singers can hide chord visibility without rewriting the shared entry. Check the result at the real screen size before the show; a phone and a tablet do not have the same usable line width.

Use practice tools without changing the source

Open the keyboard to try a chord or the metronome to check a tempo. A stored BPM can supply the song tempo; the practice tools are aids, not an audio recording of the original performance. Keep your notes private to the band unless you intentionally share permitted material. Shared catalog access requires an account and is not exposed here for search indexing.

At the gig

The singer needs clean notes, the guitarist wants the chord shapes and the whole band needs the same starting key. Use one shared record, choose a personal reading view and agree on transpose during rehearsal. A short setlist cue can say "soft intro, count four" without making the running order hard to scan.

Practical questions

Does a subscription buy me copyrighted lyrics?

No. The subscription provides software features. Users supply content and must have the rights needed for its use and sharing.

Does transpose change the original stored notes?

The reading controls change the displayed chords and key. Shared setlist transpose is stored as setlist metadata, rather than rewriting the source performance text.

Can every visitor read the band library?

No. Internal songs and setlists require sign-in and authorized access. These public examples do not publish a band library.
